As part of Cultural Diversity Week 2016, the Brimbank Maribyrnong Interfaith Network guests had opportunity to witness the religious and cultural diversity of the western region of Melbourne and and also visited Trentham in regional Victoria.
People of diverse backgrounds visited the Sunshine Mosque, Sunshine, appreciated the Sikh faith and sikh shared lunch at the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib Hoppers Crossing and toured around the extensive Quang Minh Buddhist Temple, Braybrook.
Two weeks later on 18 March similar group of local residents visited the Trentham in regional Victoria. Faith leaders from the local Roman Catholic, Anglican and Uniting churches answered many questions. This was followed by a visit to a interfaith centre on the edge of Trentham.
