The Buddhist Council of Victoria (BCV) celebrated 20 years of incorporation on 25 March 2017 at Quang Minh Buddhist Temple in Braybrook.
It was a great day opened with Acknowledgement of Country by local Aboriginal Elder Francine Ngardarb Riches followed by speech by speech by Maribyrnong Mayor Cr Catherine Cumming. The President of the BCV Ajahn Boonsom spoke followed by the Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs Minister Hon Robin Scott and shadow minister Inga Peulich. The BMIN was represented by committee members Colin Reynolds, Nayran Tabiei, and Cecil Schmalkuche attended our information table. We had a chance to meet members of many Buddhist temples as well as representatives from the Islamic Council of Victoria.
