Then – join a group of 20 selected young adults to participate in the inaugural Interfaith Bush Walk sponsored by the Brimbank & Maribyrnong Interfaith Network.
This is a fully sponsored and expertly facilitated bush hike with all equipment, food and materials supplied.

The Location is the Brisbane Ranges National Park – about 50 kilometres or 45 minutes west of Werribee. The Burchell Trail is a 38 kilometre, three-day walk that runs north-south through the national park.
2010explorerhike2The walk will commence on Saturday morning and conclude on Monday afternoon. There will be two groups: male participants will walk from north to south, and female participants will walk from south to north.
Prior to the commencement of the walk, an information evening will be conducted, to provide an opportunity to introduce yourselves, understand and develop expectations and reflect on what you might like to gain from ‘Stepping Out’.
Participants will be required to walk for about two or three hours each day and will carry a rucksack each day with waterproof clothing, a water bottle and snacks. Tents, clothing, sleeping bags, food and cooking equipment will be carried in a support vehicle. Participants will be expected to erect their own accommodation tents, cooperate with others in cooking meals and performing tasks that will contribute to a successful and worthwhile experience.
Experienced facilitators will lead the activities and structured discussions about faith and identity in the evening sessions. Informal conversations around faith and cultural identity are encouraged during walking and meal times.
No drugs or alcohol will be allowed. Suitable food will be provided for Halal and Vegetarian diets.
A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to each participant on conclusion of the debriefing session following the event.
